Annual Mt Perisher Snowboard trip

It's that time of the year again, 6 hours 3am drive, I'm not driving this year though I'm bit gutted since I don't mind a long drive once in a while.

First day when we get there there is not much snow at all it's just patches and I'm kinda dissapponted and that day we ended up hanging out at the bar for some beer.

We checked into our holiday house it's a 2 bedroom with a lovely view of  Lake Jindabyne and just chill out for the night and hoping that the forecasted blizzard will actually come true.

Oh! And yes I woke up with slightly sore head (thank you beer) but with a smile on my face heh! My wish came true! It's white outside covered on snow horraaayy

We are so excited that we ran out of the door to get to the slope. The drive was exciting, the road and creeks are all covered in snow.

It was a lovely day with consistent snow keep on falling and dry air to keep the freez the only thing that was annoying me was the snow making machine, it blows straight to my face, so really i felt like im eating snow all day long. I have improved alot during this trip i can actually go up and down the mountain with both side, did more runs than before and of course less fall when i actually get off the lift. The next step for me will be picking up more speed and be more confident on a more narrow slope.

Before we go back to the city we need to somehow digg the car out of thr snow

Hallo Jakarta!

Good old Jakarta,
If it's not because of the traffic it's actually a very interesting place to visit. Yea but that is just a wishlist...

This time I didn't visit for leisure so I didn't get to do much loitering around the mall. I went to the newly open uniqlo and that's about it as far as mall goes

Other time my dad, me and my brother go for a drive to Bogor and did abit of off track driving

Ate at a hut shaped restaurant that look super dodgy

Hangout with my extended family,

my cat

My dog

And that's it really....not so eventful

Aloha hawaii

Aloha!

Hawaii never disappoint, great people, amazing food and of course beautiful beaches.

This time I stayed in waikiki again the hotel I stayed in got a really nice pool view and just few blocks away from the beach and shops

I arrived late at night and decided to catch a taxi from the airport to waikiki, unfortunately I didn't get to see much that night.

I woke up at 5am in the morning, I ran to the beach and saw the most beautiful sunrise in a long time.

That day I decided to go to Ala Moana shopping center to grab some food and I know a secret spot on the rooftop to see the view of waikiki

Another activities is the Moana waterfall walk, since I'm on my own I decided to do a safe easy walk. I took a bus and on the way there rain started pouring luckily it stopped half way through however the track become very muddy and I ended up covered by mud by the end if the trip it was good fun after all

Other than that I chill on the beach,

enjoying the beautiful sunset

Enjoying the view from my balcony while enjoying nice cold beer

Having great food at the JW Marriot resort

Of course with fabulous sake cocktails to go with it and cold sake afterwards

I was sad to leave hawaii, it's my number 1 holiday destination and I can't wait to go back!

Mahalo :)

New York New York

Finally........
Good morning  New York ! 6am bright and early at time square I decided to take a walk from the grand central station to my hotel on the south end of Central Park

After the slightly long walk and absorbs the city busy hustle and bustle I basically just checked in, chucked my bag, take a quick shower and head out to spend my cash as fast as I could at the 5th ave before meeting up with my friends and heads up to the Yankees stadium at the Bronx

After the military operation shopping I head back to the hotel dropped all my stuff then catch the yellow cab ala New Yorker towards broadway after a lovely another giant burger lunch we decided to take a walk around TriBeCa and Soho for a quick drinks before the game

After a few locally brewed ale we feel refreshed and ready to go to the game. This time we decided to catch the subway it was a very interesting subway journey both to and from along with all of the Yankees and Red Sox supporter

Of course my team the Yankees won that night and I'm very content

Now good night New York....

Start of USA trip

Not a great start since my flight got cancelled and I ended up spending time in LA, but it doesn't stop there after spending 3hrs trying to get out of LAX I missed my connecting flight to NYC!

First I was pretty gutted but the airlines decided to put me up at the hilton in LA and business class flight frm LAX to JFK I calmed down abit....still unhappy tho

After a lil nap and in room service, yep giant American burger of course hehehe

To burn off few calories I decided to go for a walk.

I've been to LA before and have no interest on celebrity spotting  decided to go to Venice beach since I never been there before and I wanna see the talk about canals and experience California beach life

I caught the bus there and walk to the beach it's stupidly further than I expected and when I finally reach the beach I thought wow! This is pretty similar to where I live... Untill I keep on walking and start to see a bunch of pensioner with spray tan and on steroids!!!!
Yep I'm not joking it's totally weird I can't stop giggling like a school girl

As I keep on walking I realised how different are the people and the whole athmosphere, don't get me wrong it's a beautiful place especially the canals but I don't feel safe walking around in my own and it seems that everyone in very conscious with their appearance. No regrets tho it was a different experience but I can't say that I would visit again.

Ok it's time to go to NYC now and yep I'm next to USHER omgggg yep crazy but I respect his privacy so no pics

Love Garage Jakarta

In January i went to what so called Love Garage in Jakarta, im not sure what are the promoter thinking to be exact. If it is supposed to be a music festival or just concert with several acts.

The line up was great from amazing local bands to international act like Ryksopp and Alex Metric, however the crowds are just dissapointing, they are waaaay to conservative and not in the party mood. I met up with few Aussies and ended up joining their party crowd, the locals was basically staring at us as we go bit banana but hey thats how you supposed to party in a music festivals.  It was sad that the DJ have to get the crowd dancing and no one even dance to it veryyyyyy saddddd.....

I have been to several music festival in Australia and Europe and i think Jakarta got the market and the idea for it just need to pass on the ideas to the attendees.

Le Meridien Jakarta Indonesia

Jakarta is a very busy city, extremely overcrowded and not the cleanest place you could visit. However if you are a shopaholic and foodie you might like Jakarta as the city have numerous amount of shopping centres, loads of shops and restaurants. I have to admit that the new shopping mall is very impressive in terms of the shops qualities and designs.

To escape the buzz i've decided to stay at Le Meridien in the Jalan Jendral Sudirman, a five star hotel with amazing pool and service.

The pool is amazing with traditional javanese feel and its not crowded at all so it feels like your own private swimming pool.

I then got upgraded to Starwood Preferred Guest floor with an amazing view of the city. The building right across me happened to have a light show at 7pm

Every Girl love to being pampered so i've decided to pamper myself to a nice Jacuzzi and 55 minutes traditional massage (urut)

To end my stay a nice bottle of Veuve Cliquot on the pool side is just a bliss....

To go or not to go?

6a00d8341bf7f753ef00e54f8900aa8833-.jpg picture by jfinnchik

The world is soooooo big  and there are just way too many things i want to see and do, currently i am having a big dilemma for this year travel plan.

My original plan for holiday this year:

April
the old country - Snow in Europe

September
the big old uncle sam country - USA

However my friends are going to Portugal and Spain for summer holiday in June.

My pet travel bug whispers ...."Just go you are only young once and deserve to have some fun!"

However my logic keep on telling me "Think of the cost and how about your friends in the USA"

Ok plain crazy...i know, but the big question is "WHAT SHOULD I DO?"

Melbourne

Melbourne, Victoria

My last melbourne trip was really fun, i went to the office to work for few days, on this trip i also manage to finally go to DFO for some shopping. There are just sooo many restaurants in Melbourne that i wanna go to. Melbourne does look like a big city but somehow there are just so much to explore, lilttle laneways,  carfes, bars, art displays, museums, it has such european feeling to it with the victorian terraces and old buildings.

On the weekend i walked around town and noticed some strange sculpture scattered around melbourne CBD

  • Fave hotel in melbourne: Sofitel
  • Fave Restaurant: Cumulus Inc
  • Fave Cafe: Koko Black Chocolates
